sweetness until you
leave the word alone
on the line like
sweetness
only then you realise
it could be driftwood
like some surfer dude’s
comment below a picture
of his friend’s new
mazda2 with slightly
bigger rims and in no
way would i like my
feelings for you to be
assimilated with that
sentiment as sincere
as i’m sure it is so
below the picture of
your new haircut i
leave only punctuation
suggesting a japanese
smiley but then delete
that anyway realising
the whole poem is now
longer than sweetness
clearly dictates so
decide to resolve the
issue by breathing on
the window to your soul
until there’s condensation
and thinking for less
than a moment writing
a single word
